The house that brought Indian couture to Canada — a 30-year legacy
Sunny’s Bridal Gallery opened its doors in 1995 as the first high-end South Asian bridal boutique in Vancouver — a pioneering move by Sunny and Reshu Sethi, who had immigrated from New Delhi where fashion was in the family’s DNA. Before Sunny’s, South Asian fashion in the Lower Mainland meant informal wear and fabric stores. The Sethis changed that entirely, introducing luxury bridal lehengas, designer sarees, and premium South Asian couture to Canada’s most significant South Asian community.
After 19 years on Main Street in Vancouver’s Punjabi Market — establishing the standard for the entire category — Sunny’s relocated to a multi-level showroom in Surrey, BC in 2014. Today, with over three decades of exclusive relationships with India’s finest designers and a reputation that draws clients from across Canada and North America, Sunny’s Bridal is more than a store. It is an institution — the destination for South Asian brides, grooms, and families marking life’s most meaningful milestones.
